General Information

Work Hours

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's duty hours standards, which limit resident duty hours to a maximum of 80 hours a week and set other restrictions on duty hours.

Meals

Meal tickets are provided to a house officer when he/she is on-call.

Parking

All residents with clinical responsibilities are entitled to free parking while on the payroll.

Professional Liability Coverage

Professional liability coverage is provided while rendering service in any one of the affiliated hospitals within the program.

Vacation

First year House Officers receive three weeks paid vacation. House Officers in the second, third and fourth years receive one month (4 weeks) paid vacation.
