Graduate Medical Education Committee

The Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) is the institutional policy setting body which monitors the activities of all residency programs. In order to provide appropriate liaison with program directors, faculty, residents and hospital administration, the GMEC membership includes but is not limited to program directors, residents, the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education, and medical directors from various participating institutions.

As part of its mission to monitor all aspects of residency education, GMEC regularly conducts formal reviews of Tulane's residency education programs to assess each program's compliance with ACGME and Residency Review Committee (RRC) requirements.
