Summer Courses offered by the
Department of Structural & Cellular Biology

Medical Histology

Study of tissue and organ structure as seen by light and electron microscopy. The course will encompass 122 classroom hours, consisting of lectures, conferences, reviews, and laboratory work. Three examinations (written and practical) will be given. The course is open to enrolled or accepted medical students, enrolled students requiring remedial work, senior undergraduate students, and graduate students in medically-related programs. Deposits for the summer Histology course are required by May 18th, 2007; Registration occurs on June 5th, 2007 (10:00 AM, Room 3022).

Fee: $1,100.00 (includes non-refundable $50 deposit)

Gross Anatomy

Complete dissection of the human body with close laboratory supervision. The summer Gross Anatomy course is equivalent to the course offered in the first year medical curriculum. Time allocated to this course is 215 hours, including informal laboratory lectures and a complete cadaveric dissection. Applied anatomy and problem-solving will be emphasized. Deposits for the summer Gross Anatomy course are required by May 16th, 2005; Registration and orientation occurs on June 1st, 2005 (8:30 AM, Room 3022).

The course is open to enrolled or accepted medical students, enrolled students requiring remedial work, senior undergraduate students, and graduate students in medically related programs. Remedial students should send a letter from their university medical school stating that our summer course is acceptable for removing their deficiency.
